I'm delighted to say that we've just put out the following press release with What's On TV magazine:

WHATSONTV.CO.UK LAUNCHES TV REPLAY –

THE UK'S FIRST GUIDE TO ONLINE TV

TV Genius Search Platform To Power New Service

whatsontv.co.uk, the IPC TX website for the biggest and best soaps and shows on TV, is boosting its listings offering with TV Replay, a new guide to TV programmes that are available to view online.

TV Replay, launching in beta form at www.whatsontv.co.uk/tvreplay, is the UK's first guide to online TV. The new service allows whatsontv.co.uk visitors to search for a particular programme; view the site's most requested online TV shows; or browse current listings from online TV providers, including the BBC's iPlayer and Sky's Anytime. Visitors will also be able to use TV Replay to click through and watch their chosen programme.

TV Replay is powered by a platform from TV and video search specialist TV Genius and the online TV listings are gathered using its content discovery technology. TV Replay's menu of most popular online TV shows is decided using TV Genius' targeted search system, which identifies the site's most requested programmes.

Charlie Meredith, whatsontv.co.uk publishing director, says: "whatsontv.co.uk visitors are passionate about TV and count on us for expert advice and guidance. This service will be a popular addition to the website, bringing together the increasing amount of online TV content in an easy to use guide."

Tom Weiss, CEO of TV Genius, adds: "More people are watching TV through their broadband connection. The TV Genius search engine has been developed to tackle the particular problems of finding information about television and Internet video. As the demand for TV online continues to grow more EPG providers will need to incorporate comprehensive listings and a simple search solution for the programmes and video content available. Our system has been designed for the convergence of television, computers and the Internet to provide a complete service for its users, with full functionality."
