Mirifice

Mirifice Ltd was founded by Paul Tinkler, Alex Dick and Niall Buckingham in 2004, with the aim of providing innovative solutions for the broadcast industry. The company was originally set up in the University of Bath’s Innovation Centre, part of the SETsquared Partnership.

In 2006 the company was starting to outgrow the incubator facilities provided by the SETsquared Partnership, due to the strong growth in both its consultancy services business and its products business, and moved to its own premises in central Bath.

Launched in 1990, they own one of the largest and most sophisticated databases of programme and channel information for most major European channels.

Service2Media

Service2Media was founded in 2005 by three senior managers of (Logica)CMG Wireless Data Solutions, whose expertise in global messaging and mobile internet solutions for mobile operators dates back to 1992. They have been instrumental in the design and development of world-leading mobile data infrastructure systems for SMS, MMS, WAP and Unified Messaging. The idea of bridging the gap between the mobile world and the media industry was the spark that started Service2Media.

TV Base

TVBASE saw the pace of new technologies. TV Programs rhyming with database, theycreate innovative concepts and develop new services to meet all requirements.

They are able to provide reliable programs and complete listings for all channels or websites. They have extensive archives: 280.000 broadcasts, broadcasts 554,000, or 122,000 professionals (actors, directors …), and 180,000 images and high definition movie trailers.

Universum

Universum is a leading provider of information for production of ready to print tv-pages for newspapers, printed tv-guides, Internet tv-guides and electronic programming guides (EPG).

Universum was established in 1988, and in 2003 the company merged with NTB Pluss. Today Universum has 15 full time employees. Main shareholders of Universum is NTB and Mediehuset Vårt Land.

They are providing listing and schedule information for 200 radio- and tv-channels, which are continously updated.
